What will make us human?

Since the 2019 Todi Week will be devoted to the topic, “To be human in a technological world”, we will necessarily have to raise three basic questions:

• • What does it mean to be human in any world?
  • What makes this difficult in our technological world?
  • Might technology also help us in becoming human

In the opening talk, Brother David Steindl-Rast will explore these three questions from the point of view of a universally acceptable human spirituality. Based on this exploration, he will try to specify some of the challenges we’ll have to face this week, if – in the tradition of previous Cortona and Todi Weeks – we want to bridge the gap between science and spirituality in an unbiased and honest way.
