Daniela Lucangeli (Padova Unit) She is a full professor on Developmental Psychology and a specialist on Educational Psychology.
Bio
Daniela Lucangeli (Padova Unit) She is a full professor on Developmental Psychology and a specialist on Educational Psychology. Her main areas of research concern mathematical cognition, specific learning disabilities (SLD), and assessment and treatment of developmental dyscalculia and giftedness. She has published 62 peer reviewed articles, more than 60 manuals for teachers, and numerous science dissemination books. She is in the editorial board of well-known educational journals such as the Journal of Learning Disabilities and the Learning Disability Quarterly, and is the Vicepresident of the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities. Since 2011 she actively participates as scientific advisor and as a member of technical committees of the Italian Ministry of Education (e.g. SLD guidelines “Legge 170/2010 “Norme in materia di disturbi specifici di apprendimento in ambito scolastico”, orientation and tutoring activities, continues education, psychological wellbeing at school, guidelines for teaching gifted students and students with high intellectual potential, etc.). She is the president of the National teacher association (CNIS), of the master’s program at the University of Padova called “Models and methodology of DSL and gifted children intervention”, and of a University Spin-off program for science dissemination “Mind4Children”. She is also the national scientific director of a center specialized for treating developmental disabilities (Polo apprendimento).
