The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese oracle, rooted in a shamanic tradition almost four thousand years old. A map of the cosmos and a book of wisdom, its images do not cease to fascinate and puzzle us. They reflect an organic perception of reality in which any detail of a given situation is a key to an understanding of the quality of the moment, of the pattern of the archetypal energies involved – a sort of mirroring Jung has called “synchronicity”.
