Shams Anwari Alhosseyni

Current Position: Lecturer for Persian language, literature and calligraphy at the University of Cologne

Bio: Born in Tehran where he passed his examination for the master diploma in calligraphy with a teaching licence as the first calligrapher at the Academy of Fine Arts, Tehran. In Germany he studied medicine, oriental studies and ethnology at the University of Cologne. Until today he has been a university lecturer for Persian language, literature and calligraphy at the University of Cologne. He became a regular member of the European Academy of the Sciences and Arts. Numerous exhibitions of his work have been held.
