- Varun Agarwal (also known as His Holiness Bhaktisvarupa Vrajendrakumar Swami), an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur, 1999, Aerospace Engg.), is currently the Director of the Bhaktivedanta Institute, Kolkata, India (Founded by illustrious scientist-saint, Dr. T. D. Singh, also known as His Holiness Bhaktisvarupa Damodara Swami) and works actively in the Foundations of Science and its possible relation with spirituality. His search for deeper meaning of life culminated in meeting and taking personal guidance of Dr. T. D. Singh which completely changed his life and he later dedicated himself for the cause of selflessly helping humanity. He is the Editor of many publications on science and spirituality as well as of the Bhaktivedanta Institute’s reputed annual science-spirituality journal, Savijnanam – Scientific Exploration for a Spiritual Paradigm and travels widely across India and abroad. His deep interest in the Foundations of mathematics and its relation to nature of reality as well as ancient Indian texts led him to interact and meet renowned scholars at Harvard, Princeton, ETH, Stanford, and MIT. He has interacted with many renowned mathematicians and himself has given numerous talks on foundations of science, mathematics and spirituality.
